Summer Internship Period - Our internship period for this role is from May 27 to August 2, 2024. 

During this time, interns will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in our dynamic engineering environment, contributing to various projects and gaining valuable hands-on experience. 

Additionally, outstanding interns may be considered for potential extensions or full-time positions. 

The expected application timeline is as below; 

  • Application Period – December 2023 till February 2024 
  • Assessment Period – January 2024 till March 2024 
  • Interview Period – January 2024 till March 2024 
  • Offer Period – April 2024 till May 2024 
  • Start of Internship – May 2024 till August 2024

The Network Operations Center is known as NOC in Agoda, and we’re the caretakers of all technology products within the company. From applications to infrastructure, our duty is to guarantee the experience of Agoda’s customers and partners is always optimal and trouble-free. Our department never sleeps, working 24/7 to keep Agoda products functional and usable.  
 
The NOC team is an invaluable support to the company, ensuring travelers are allowed the full Agoda experience. Beyond maximizing customer experience uptime, we initiate ideas and experiments that mature NOC to the next level and result in state-of-the-art operation and incident management tools.

The opportunity: 
 
We’re looking for an NOC Engineer, this position offers high visibility with management and with other departments within the company.  
 
This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand.  
 
In addition to the requirements below, successful candidates and team members will share a passion for a high-quality platform, and methodical problem-solving skills. To be successful in this role you must be passionate about thinking critically, testing, learning from mistakes, and adapting quickly.  
 
In this role, you’ll get to: 

  • Ensure that the services and platform are being re-actively & proactively monitored.  
  • Escalate and coordinate any incidents in a timely manner or potential incidents to ensure the quickest service restoration time.  
  • Analyze/Report potential trends to drive down repeated incidents.  
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to the business/management the details of the incident, its impact to the business and the steps to ensure timely resolution and prevention.

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in IT or any related field. 
  • Strong skills in presenting and analyzing data and creating actionable reports.  
  • Ability to learn and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English; Must be able to clearly describe and discuss problems. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, with a creative and analytical mindset.

It’s great if you have:

  • Experience with monitoring/alert tools or platforms.
