Wealth Actuarial Analyst (Intern)

What You Will Do

  • Supports all aspects of pension consulting work including design and planning of benefit strategies, drafting correspondence to clients on a range of consulting issues, preparing agendas, papers and minutes for trustees’ meetings.
  • Deals with routine queries received from clients, scheme members, third parties and other Mercer businesses.
  • Attends and participates in client meetings with consultant.
  • Carries out calculations for individual members and preparation of figures for corporate accounts with help from more senior members of the team.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong academic record of accomplishment in numerical subjects such as Mathematics, Finance (Accounting/Management), Actuarial Sciences.
  • Can demonstrate strong communication, analytical and technical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Self-initiative and curiosity in financial services, self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team. Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with team members.
