Intern Slider Engineering - Row Slice/DSL/Dicing Process

The Programme

Slider Fabrication is a manufacturing plant fabricating one of the key components in a Hard Disk Drive. This component is called Recording Head which is used to write and read the digital bits on the media of a hard disk drive.  
 
Cleaning processes in our manufacturing plant consist of various types of chemistry as well as machines to deliver best in class cleaning performance. 
 
Our team is developing, maturing and optimizing new processes or technology to meet future product roadmap requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Process Engineers in a specific project to meet the Project Objective. Area of focus is on Projects related to chemical concentration and parameters optimization. 
  • Perform Design of Experiment and data analysis to suggest an optimum setting to design a stable process that can guarantee the cleanliness performance that is best in class. 
  • Work closely with operation shop floor teams (manufacturing, process and equipment engineering) to enable successful execution of experiments.

Required Skills and Abilities

About you:

  • A degree background in chemical engineering or material engineering will be preferred. 
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Your experience includes:

  • Excellent teamwork and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to effectively plan, control and take responsibility for timeline and status update. 
  • Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written.
