Recording Head Test Engineering Intern

The Programme

About our group: 
 
HGA Test Engineering is responsible for electrical and mechanical performance of slider and TGA (write/read functional) to ensure that customer get high-quality and functional product.  
 
We also determine the exact procedure to troubleshoot errors and communicating recommendations for improvement to the rest of the product development team.  
 
We work together with software, electrical and mechanical engineering. 
 
You will:

• Ensuring all tests and procedures meet standard requirement. 
• Responsible for understanding and interpreting test requirements, analyzing test results and data, making determinations of pass/fail criteria, and communicating results to identify problems with products or manufacturing processes and propose solutions. 
• Work with other engineering teams to develop new test methods or improve existing ones

Required Skills and Abilities

About you:

• Able to create/develop the process. 
• Strong team player, collaborative approach and resourceful. 
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills.

Your experience includes:

• Strong Excel macro to automate data entry and task. 
• Familiar with scripting and one or more programming languages/applications: Python, R, JMP, MATLAB, JavaScript, AutoCAD, etc. 
• Basic statistical knowledge. 
• Data collection skills. 
• Ability to work as a team player with other engineer supervisors and operating level.
