Trace Gimbal Assembly Mechanical Integration Intern

The Programme

Trace Gimbal Assembly Mechanical Integration (TGA MI) will serve as the liaison between Recording Head Technology Team (RHT), Trace Gimbal Assembly (TGA) and HAMR (Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording) mechanical designs, Process and Product Development Integration Team and Factory in Thailand.  
 
We are working together for the designed activities and mechanical evaluation to ensure best practices are followed and experiments are properly controlled.  
 
This also includes critical data collected and leading Failure Analysis (FA) investigation plan to narrow down the root cause and come up with a solution to improve time and quality of learning.   

What You Will Do

• Be responsible for script development of auto report generate for data summary of Trace Gimbal Assembly (TGA) and Head Gimbal Assembly (HGA) evaluation and qualification which assigned from data analysis expertise and DOs (Design Owners) who will support key technology evaluations. 
• Gathering data from several sources into final report in Power point form. 
• Modified or re-created JMP script which is data analysis software for data analysis. 
• Modified or re-created Excel file for data analysis. 
• Perform Trace Gimbal Assembly (TGA) Lot_Number decode file Improvement or re-created decode file.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong Excel macro to automate data entry and task. 
• Strong SQL language (select statement) for data retrieving. 
• Strong JMP Scripting Language. 
• Familiar in scripting and one or more programming languages/applications: Python, R, JMP, MATLAB, JavaScript, etc. 
• Basic Mechanical knowledge (Force, Resonance, Vibration) and logical thinking. 
• Basic HDD Knowledge is a plus. 
• Basic statistic knowledge.

• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them communicate and adjust the style to deliver messages to work effectively in a multicultural environment. 
• Enthusiastic to gather new knowledge and positive attitude. 
• Ability to work independently and take on projects with medium supervision. 
• Fluent in English and Thai communication both spoken and written.
