Pipeline Engineer - Graduate - Immediate Start

What You Will Do

Perform technical tasks assigned by Lead/Experienced Engineers.  
Primary involvement in a typical project includes:

  • Perform pipelines mechanical design calculations including line pipes and bend wall thickness calculation, overstressing, minimum route/ curvature bend radius, free-spanning, pipeline end expansion, on-bottom stability, riser/ tie-in spool stress analysis, and UG/AG transition stress analysis. 
  • Prepare design reports, studies, philosophies, specifications, datasheets, procedures, material take-offs, and requisitions based on the input from Lead/ Experienced engineers. 
  • Provide input and review activities conducted by other Engineers, Designers and CAD Operators. 
  • Ensure the technical quality and accuracy of the work produced and the assigned tasks are completed on time.

  • Coordinate with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as per Lead Engineer’s instruction. 
  • Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client, and vendor meetings when requested by the Lead Engineer. 
  • Conduct any other subsea engineering works/ participation in design reviews as and when required by the Company.

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical/ Structural/ Marine Engineering or Materials Science. 
  • Initiative-taking, good attitude and willingness to take responsibility. 
  • Good knowledge of mechanics and strength of materials. 
  • Good computer literacy with competence in MS office software. 
  • Clear communication skills and fluent in English. 
  • Ability to work proactively with minimum guidance from others, and to manage own time to meet the agreed deadlines and budget. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Familiar with general finite element software (e.g., Abaqus/ ANSYS). 
  • Working knowledge in computer programming. 
  • Working knowledge in MATLAB or Mathcad Prime software. 
  • Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society. 
  • Familiar with international codes and standards – ASME, API, CSA, AS, ISO, ANSI.
