Accounting Intern - 2023 Rookie Program

What You Will Do

The Accounting Intern role offers candidates real life experience on how MNC operates.  
 
The candidate will be rotated across accounting function to gain exposure & valuable insights from experienced team workers. Hands-on guidance on system software would also be shared to prepare candidates for their future employment. 
 
Areas Of Learning & Responsibilities:

• Assist managers complete daily tasks (e.g., verification, checks & reconciliation). 
• Understand daily processes of each function (e.g., AR /AP/ GL). 
• Provide administrative support. 
• Participate in month-end closing activities. 
  
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliation. 
  • Assisting with research, filing and data entry. 
  • Assisting TikTok Marketplace reconciliation. 
• Ensure sub-ledgers reconcile to general ledger. 
  
  • Working with bookkeeping software in D365. 
• Adhere to policies and procedures for proper internal control. 
• Ensure that the processing and execution of all transactions are in line with the company's policies.

What Exposures Will You Gain by the End of the Internship?

• Exposure to the foundation of accounting in a retail industry. 
• Ability to understand and gain hands-on experience to support month-end closing and day to day operation. 
• How to communicate across a diverse organization with many different cultures, geographies and preferences.

Required Skills and Abilities

• A keen learner who is detail-oriented, resourceful & driven. 
• Able to work with a team/independently where needed. 
• Willing to listen, to include and to respect the beliefs of teammates. 
• Able to use Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel.
