B&W R&D Packaging & Sustainability Intern - Engineering

What You Will Do

  • Assists packaging development supervisors/ manager. 
  • Connect with the suppliers to prepare pack samples for test/ trial. 
  • Assists pack supervisors in conducting functional tests and machine trials. 
  • Assists pack supervisors explore the innovation launch / relaunch as well as supporting the idea of 5S packaging. 
  • Competitor Analysis for packaging B&W. 
  • Market Visit timely to monitor the new pack launched and do pack analysis as per instruction from supervisor. 
  • Issue the report of the competitor analysis as per instruction from supervisor.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Packaging, Industrial Design, Polymer Science, or any related area such as packaging science, packaging design, packaging engineer. 
  • Understand the basic principles of packaging materials and packaging process and physical properties of packaging materials (plastic, glass, paper, metal). 
  • Interpersonal skills able to coordinate and work with other R&D functions.

Skills:

  • Packaging materials, Packaging Process, Packaging Formats, Packaging Sustainability. 
  • Packaging Engineering and MS Tools skills (such as Power BI): PCR Test Support and Creation of Database for results.
  • Recyclable Pump Test Support and Competitor Analysis. 
  • Experienced in using basic experimental equipment. 
  • Computer skills (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.) 
  • Able to produce reports and information about daily product trials. 
  • Understand packaging and experimental preparation procedures. 
  • Must never disclose information about any product. Especially information about technology and packaging development process.
